The conversation
What is Christian life coaching?
Christian life coaching connects your goals and everyday decisions with Christian faith guiding the conversation. Your coach listens, helps you consider a practical response and discusses what happens when you try it. See how coaching works.
What can I bring to a session?
Bring a goal, a difficult decision or something you are still trying to understand, in your own life or involving your children. For leadership and workplace concerns, explore executive coaching.
Can I bring something private or embarrassing to talk about?
Yes. Adults can bring difficult habits, choices, relationships, or other behavioral concerns to a coaching conversation without making them sound less uncomfortable first. Examples may include pornography use, a sexual habit you want to change, drinking or gambling patterns, phone or social-media use, anger, jealousy, or another recurring pattern. Coaching is not therapy or addiction treatment. The Practiced Word does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions, substance use disorders, gambling disorder, or other clinical conditions.
Who provides my coaching?
We assign your coach from our national team of 20 coaches. You meet one-on-one over Zoom from anywhere in the United States. Every coach holds at least a master’s degree in behavior science. Executive coaching is provided by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. About our coaching firm.
How is Christian life coaching different from counseling?
Life coaching focuses on goals, habits and everyday decisions. Coaching does not replace counseling, behavioral healthcare, or medical care.
Is this addiction treatment or therapy?
No. The Practiced Word provides Christian life coaching. Coaching focuses on goals, behavior, routines, accountability, decisions, relationships, values, and practical follow-through within the scope of coaching. It does not diagnose or treat addiction, mental health conditions, or other clinical disorders, and it does not replace counseling, behavioral healthcare, or medical care. When clinical treatment is needed, a licensed professional or treatment provider may be a better fit.
