“But be ye doers of the Word, and not hearers only…”James 1:22 · KJV

The Practiced Word delivers Christian life coaching nationwide. Scripture guides the work across our firm.

Your coaching team

Every member of our national team holds at least a master’s degree in behavior science. Board Certified Behavior Analysts are the norm on our team. Coaches with PhDs provide leadership, and some coaches teach as adjunct professors at universities across the country.

Our coaches are hired to provide one-on-one coaching. We assign your coach, who meets with you over Zoom. You bring your own concerns, with Christian faith guiding the conversation.

Choose and pay for your sessions online. Our team then asks for your time zone and availability and assigns your coach. A free 15-minute introduction is optional. The introduction is about the firm; paid sessions are provided by the coaching team.

Matthew Hilley

M.Ed.
Board Certified Behavior Analyst

Matthew believes that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior and that faith should shape how we live each day. He leads The Practiced Word with that conviction: helping people put Scripture into practice in their decisions and relationships. Matthew oversees the firm’s operations; our coaching team provides your sessions.

What guides
the coaching

The work starts with the life you are actually living. You choose the concern you want help changing. Your coach listens, helps you understand the patterns involved, and offers guidance with your permission.

Scripture guides the direction. Behavior science helps you and your coach consider the conditions that make an action easier or harder to follow through on.

This is life coaching focused on goals and everyday decisions. Coaching does not replace counseling, behavioral healthcare, or medical care.
