Christian executive coaching

Work on the leadership responsibilities, priorities and patterns affecting your working life. Christian faith guides the conversation.

The Practiced Word is a national firm with 20 coaches. Your executive coach is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst assigned by the firm. Every coach at the firm holds at least a master’s degree in behavior science. Board Certified Behavior Analysts are the norm on our team. Coaches with PhDs provide leadership, and some coaches teach as adjunct professors at universities across the country.

Meet with your executive coach online from anywhere in the United States. Sessions last 60 minutes and take place one-on-one over Zoom.

What would you like to handle differently?

You might be carrying a new responsibility, struggling to protect time for an important priority, or returning to the same difficult conversation at work. You can bring a particular situation to discuss, even if you have not decided what to do about it.

Your coach listens first. Together, you look at what was asked of you, how you responded and what followed. With your permission, you discuss an action to try in your own circumstances.

Christian leadership coaching for everyday work

Scripture guides the direction of the work. Behavior science helps you look at the conditions that make a chosen action easier or harder to carry out. The focus stays on your own goals, decisions and follow-through.

A responsibility you keep taking back

Suppose you hand over a task, then find yourself checking on it repeatedly and finishing it yourself before the agreed deadline. You and your coach could look at one instance. What did you agree with the other person? What prompted you to step in?

A practice to discuss might be agreeing on a check-in time and asking about progress then. You decide whether that fits the responsibility and the people involved. At a later session, you can review what happened and consider what to adjust.
