2. Eligibility
Our coaching services are available exclusively to adults (age 18 or older) who are current residents of the United States. By requesting a consultation or scheduling a session, you represent that you meet these age and residency requirements.
3. Nature of Services
The Practiced Word provides online Christian life coaching. Christian life coaching is a supportive process designed to help you clarify goals, improve communication, and build consistent routines. Our services focus on practical daily life changes and spiritual growth within a Christian framework.
4. No Professional Advice
Matthew Hilley and The Practiced Word are not providing medical, mental health, therapy, legal, or financial advice. Coaching is not a substitute for professional mental health care or medical treatment. Although Matthew Hilley is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the coaching services provided through The Practiced Word are not behavioral in nature and are not covered by his BACB certification.
5. No Emergency or Crisis Services
The Practiced Word does not provide emergency intervention or crisis services. If you are experiencing a medical or mental health emergency, or are in danger of harming yourself or others, please call 911 immediately or contact a local emergency service or crisis hotline.
6. User Responsibilities
You are responsible for your own choices, actions, and results. Successful coaching requires active participation and follow-through on your part. You agree to provide accurate information and to behave in a respectful manner during all interactions with The Practiced Word.
7. Scheduling and Cancellations
Coaching sessions are scheduled by mutual agreement. We require advance notice for any cancellations or rescheduling requests. Details regarding specific cancellation windows and potential fees will be provided during your initial consultation or session agreement.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, and educational materials, is the property of The Practiced Word LLC and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from this content without our express written permission.
9. Faith-Based Content and Personal Responsibility
Our coaching is grounded in Christian Scripture and biblical principles. You acknowledge that you are seeking faith-based coaching and that you maintain full responsibility for how you interpret and apply any faith-based principles discussed in your sessions.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Practiced Word LLC and Matthew Hilley shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of our services or website. This includes, but is not limited to, any loss or injury arising from the application of coaching strategies in your personal life.

Our services are provided on an 'as is' and 'as available' basis. We make no guarantees regarding specific outcomes or results from the coaching process. Results depend on numerous factors, including your individual commitment and follow-through.
12. Governing Law
These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action related to these terms shall be brought exclusively in the courts located within South Carolina.
